Indukciós és Védőgázas Hőkezelő Kft., a company that provides services for Hungary's engineering industry, was acquired by a consortium of Hungarian strategic and financial investors this February. Sophisticated heat treatment is mainly used on parts for railway brake systems, automotive and agricultural equipment. ISVH Kft., formed in 1989 as the successor to the heat treatment division of Szerszámgépipari Művek, is specialized in the induction hardening and protective gas heat treatment of steel parts, and controls over 50% of the contract heat treatment market in Hungary. Founding owner János Szathmáry was a "forced entrepreneur" when he started building his own business, and it took the heat treatment professional 6-7 years to feel that his company, ISVH could hold its own in the market, and even outperform its competitors.
